Discover London's rich culture and heritage – from Shakespeare and Tudor monarchs to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones – at our Liberal Arts Summer School.
You'll spend six weeks studying on our beautiful London campus with an interdisciplinary academic course that combines history, literature, film, and cultural studies.
Our programme allows you to complete UK academic credits, which can count towards your final degree at your home university (though check with your academic adviser).
The programme will give you an outstanding opportunity to get to know London. You will enjoy:
- field visits to some of the most famous sites in the city and lesser known spots
- a social programme to help you get to know the other students on the course.

Our exciting range of interdisciplinary modules has something for everyone. Our flexible programme structure means that you can choose an academic programme that suits your needs – whether you are majoring in a humanities subject or meeting a general education requirement.
You can choose from our 20 UK credit (5 US credit), 25 UK credit (6 US credit) or 40 UK credit (10 US credit) programmes, so whatever your academic requirements, we can meet your needs.
London living already sorted
Your summer school includes:
- accommodation
- two meals per day
- transfers to and from Heathrow airport.
All you need to think about is what you want to study and where you want to go while you’re here.
A vibrant social programme
The programme includes a range of field visits to historic and cultural sites in London. You will also benefit from a social programme including welcome and farewell events, and travel tips to enable you to use your downtime to visit historic sites beyond London.
The schedule allows plenty of free time so you can explore England and Europe at your leisure.
