Undergraduate academic requirements
All applications will be considered however, we do highly recommend the following qualifications to strengthen your application:
Applicants who have completed the School Leaving Certificate Examination (Grade XI & XII) with a minimum final grade of GPA 2.4 will normally be considered for undergraduate entry.
Postgraduate academic requirements
Applicants who have attained a Bachelor Degree from a recognised institution will normally be considered for postgraduate entry.

In addition to the information above, there may be entry requirements specific to your chosen Degree Programme. We will also consider relevant work experience. Contact a representative in your county or the Regional Manager for more information.
English language requirements
We understand English may not be your first language and will accept a wide range of English Language tests to support your application. We also offer Pre-Sessional English Language programmes and In-sessional English Language Programmes.
English Language Test Waiver - Nepal National Examinations board 12th: Grade B in the subject ‘Compulsory English’
Conditions:
- Undergraduate: within 2 years of completing the high school
- Postgraduate: Within 2 years of completing the University studies
Medium of Instructions: MOI based English Language Test waiver
Universities accepted:
- Kathmandu University
- Pokhara University
Offer waiver based on the letter from the University (not affiliated college) confirming the Medium of Instructions of the course, should contain course title, student name and student ID.
Accept MOI if the degree has been passed in last 2 years from the year of application to SMU
If you have already completed an English Language qualification, please include the test results alongside your application as supporting documentation.

Visas and immigration
Before you begin studying in the UK, you may require a Student visa. At St Mary’s we strictly adhere to UK Visa and Immigration regulations and will require you provide supporting documentation which meets UK government guidelines.
