St Mary's University warmly welcomes students from Thailand.

St Mary's has a lively and diverse student community, with students from over 100 countries outside the UK representing approximately 10% of its 6,000 students.

Study at St Mary's

A degree at St Mary’s is about much more than the course you study; our community approach looks to support you on a personal level. Below is a list of our course categories:

Undergraduate academic requirements

Applicants with the Certificate of Secondary Education are required to complete an International Foundation programme, IB or A Levels prior to being admitted to an Undergraduate course at St Mary’s University.

Students who have successfully completed one year of a Bachelor's degree in Thailand will be considered for direct entry to the first year of a St Mary’s Bachelor's degree programme.

Postgraduate academic requirements

Bachelor's degree from a recognised Thai University with a minimum GPA of 2.3.

2:1 equivalent

  • Thai degree (grade point average, 4.0): 3.3

2:2 equivalent

  • Thai degree (grade point average, 4.0): 2.3

English language requirements

If English is not your first language you will be required to evidence your English language ability required for academic study. Please see our English Language Requirements page for our standard entry requirements.

Tuition fees

Please note:tuition fees do not include accommodation.

Scholarships

We offer scholarships to both undergraduate and postgraduate students:

  • Undergraduate: £3,000 off your first year’s tuition fees.
  • Postgraduate (taught): £1,500 off your first year’s tuition fees.

Open days and campus tours

If you're able to visit London, attending an open day is a fantastic opportunity to get an insight into what life is like as a St Mary's student. If you can't make it to an Open Day, we run campus tours every Wednesday at 12pm.

The Students' Union

You are welcomed as a member of our thriving Students' Union as soon as you arrive at St Mary's and there are lots of opportunities to get involved.

There is a wide range of societies for you to join, such as the International Society, the Enterprise Society and Gaming Appreciation, as well as over 20 different sports societies, ranging from badminton to kick boxing. Please see the Students’ Union section for a full list.

Sport

St Mary’s is one of London’s top-performing sports institutions. Sport St Mary's provides students with state-of-the-art sports facilities equipped to world-class standards, as well as funding opportunities for high performance athletes.

Whether you’re interested in pursuing a degree in sport or joining one of St Mary’s sports clubs, you will find all the sports facilities and quality training that you need to get involved and keep healthy and active.

Local area

There are organisations in and around London that bring together the members of the local Thai community through social events, sports and cultural activities including the Anglo-Thai Society. The website Thai-UK also provides news and advice on life in the UK.
