The annual St John Henry Newman Conference will take place at St Mary’s University, Twickenham on Wednesday 18th June. This year’s theme is ‘Catholic Imagination: shaping perceptions of Catholicism for the mid-twenty first century’.
The conference is hosted in co-operation with the Catholic Theological Association of Great Britain, and is a response to Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe O.P.’s call to re-imagine the Church for a secularised audience.
The aim of the conference is to explore ways to present Catholic identity to the contemporary world. Tackling the issues of today through the lens of the Catholic imagination, speakers will consider how to capture the imagination, present the Faith, shape the dialogue, and face modernity.
The conference also forms an integral part of the Maryvale@StMary’s PhD programme.
All are welcome to attend either in-person or online.
