Our University accommodation is generally only for new first year undergraduate students, and so postgraduate students will normally stay in private rented accommodation, but the Accommodation Service is well equipped to give students advice and guidance about finding somewhere suitable to live whilst studying at St Mary’s.
There is lots of accommodation in the local area, including private halls, lodgings, and shared houses and flats.
We have an online accommodation platform called StudentPad, which has details of available properties listed. Local landlords and letting agents post adverts of their vacancies, and you can contact them directly through StudentPad to arrange viewings.
There is also a message board on StudentPad where students can advertise vacancies in their existing student home, or can meet other students with whom they would like to live with.
We also work closely with a private hall provider in Twickenham where we have been placing several PGCE and postgraduate students this year, provided they are full time students. If you want to explore this option, contact the Accommodation Service for more information.
