Information for landlords
The majority of St Mary’s University students live in private sector accommodation across the local area.
There are always students looking for accommodation in the local areas and they can offer reliable tenancies, forming a stable market for landlords and letting agents.
Whilst any tenancy agreements would form a tenant-landlord relationship directly between you and the student, you will have the support from the Accommodation Service in the form of advice and guidance. This is why we would like to invite you to register your property with St Mary’s University ( www.stmarysstudentpad.co.uk)
Your property will be displayed as a full page advert detailing all of your properties' important features and can include up to six photographs and a link to a location map.
Although not compulsory, photographs make a huge difference to your advert and students find them very helpful. Photographs can only be accepted in electronic form and must be jpeg or gif files.
Please note, you will need to provide an electrical certificate, and if your property has gas, we will require a copy of the current Gas Safety Register Certificate.
To register with StudentPad, new landlords will need to complete our online registration process.
Register by Post
If you are unable to register online, please telephone the Accommodation Service on 020 8240 4034/4385 to request a paper registration form for the accommodation that you wish to advertise to be posted to you. NB: if you have more than one property to register, please request a form for each property.
When you return your form, please make sure that you include all the necessary supporting documentation for your accommodation. Failure to do so will result in a delay in your accommodation being advertised.
Please allow up to ten working days for your application to be processed if you are completing your registration in this format.
If you have previously registered with us, your property will already be online. Please use our existing landlord user guide to help you login and create a new advert.
Once you have completed these processes, the Accommodation Service will review before advertising. Please note that to be able to advertise your property you must provide valid gas and electrical safety certificates.
