We are St Mary’s Men’s Rugby Union. This year we’re running two teams so there is a great opportunity for all aspiring players to play at a level suitable for them.
Our first XV offers a competitive challenge playing against some of the best universities in the south. Our second XV are looking to secure promotion in their league and rise through the ranks of BUCS rugby.
We’re lucky to have such a great group of players every year and are so excited when the group grows off of the field which is just as important (if not more). Therefore, a huge part of the club is having a laugh on and off the pitch. Regular socials and team bonding events will be held over the coming year.
We really are a club for anyone who enjoys the sport and enjoys having a laugh.
In 2022, St Mary’s began an exciting new partnership with Richmond RFC that sees students able to access a wide range of increased playing opportunities, as well as additional coaching oversight and provision. For those exceptionally talented players, an exciting new pathway into National 1 rugby with Richmond’s 1st XV is now also available.
