Estates Projects

The Estates Projects team is responsible for contributing to student experience through ongoing enhancement of our campus.

Our work includes:

design, procurement and project management of capital projects including new builds and refurbishments;
strategic estate master planning, capital investment and space management;
design, procurement and project management of long-term maintenance projects such as upgrades to fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and lift refurbishments.
sustainability projects such as boiler replacements, LED lighting and management of our Sustainability Strategy.

The team is also responsible for estate management including:

negotiation and management of leases with third parties;
acquisition and disposal of land;
town planning;
business rates appeals and management;
property insurance.

What we are working on

We're excited to announce the start of Student Heart Phase Two!

The works to provide a new entrance into J Block, internal refurbishment of the Hall and toilets and external Landscaping works began on Monday 25th September 2023. Works will continue through to August 2024.
