Biography
Jane joined St Mary’s in 2021 as a Senior Lecturer for the PGCE Secondary – Mathematics programme.
After graduating with a degree in Mathematics from Warwick University, Jane worked for a number of years as a Business Analyst in the financial services sector before retraining as a Maths teacher here at St Mary’s.
Following this she has gained over 25 years teaching experience, working in both the secondary and FE sectors. She has had a variety of roles including Course Leads and Head of Department, but has always maintained a particular focus on teaching and learning.
In 2017 Jane completed a MPhil in Mathematics Education at Cambridge University, her thesis included a collaborative action research study into developing inquiry-based tasks within A level Maths. This area remains a particular interest of Jane’s.
