The experience of the sport psychology staff was my main motivation for choosing to study at St Mary’s, in addition to the excellent reputation of the sports courses that it provides. The tutors are all well versed in applying theory and research to practice. The level of support from staff has been invaluable. They adopt a dynamic and flexible approach to teaching in order to get the best out of you, whilst always maintaining a very friendly nature.
There are plenty of opportunities provided for students to get involved in extra-curricular sport psychology projects, some of which are with professional clubs and athletes. These give you a perfect opportunity to utilise the skills you learn in lectures and seminars. The atmosphere at the university is very friendly and the facilities are excellent in providing what you need to excel.
I'd highly recommend St Mary's as a place of study. The course has been immensely beneficial to my future career in the sport psychology world due to the applied nature of the content. This experience has inspired me to continue my work towards a career in the applied field.
