About your programme

Module information

You’ll complete your course one block or ‘semester’ at a time. In each semester you’ll study modules. Some are core modules you have to take – others you’ll be able to choose between when you arrive, personalising the course to your interests.

In your first semester you will study the following modules:

• Clinically integrated anatomy and evaluation of assessment in practice Core

Clinically integrated anatomy and evaluation of assessment in practice (Core)

This module will provide you with detailed anatomical knowledge and theoretical skills/strategies to be able to plan, perform, and appraise a safe, thorough, and competent assessment of persons with neuromusculoskeletal pathologies/injuries. 

• Foundations for Clinical Reasoning in Physiotherapy Core

Foundations for Clinical Reasoning in Physiotherapy (Core)

This module will give you a comprehensive understanding of how the human body functions in health and disease. We will focus on all the major systems in the body and explore in-depth the  neuromuscular, cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological systems. This module will also develop an in-depth understanding of common pathologies and relevant pathophysiology.

• Influencing and reflecting Professional Practice, Management and Leadership in Healthcare Core

Influencing and reflecting Professional Practice, Management and Leadership in Healthcare (Core)

This module aims to prepare you for Professional life as a Physiotherapist, considering the role from a clinical, professional, legal, cultural, societal, and social viewpoint. The module will develop your awareness of the registration and monitoring process in order to maintain Membership and Chartered status.
