A programme specification is a definitive document that describes a programme of study, including information such as the modules available and their core or option status, the programme learning outcomes, pattern of contact time, and teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
Programme specifications exist for all credit-bearing programmes of study, including those delivered through collaborative partnerships that lead to the award of a St Mary's qualification.
New programme specifications are approved by the Academic Strategy, Portfolio and Student Experience Committee following validation/revalidation Panel events.
Please note that individual programmes specifications are not produced for every joint honours combination; please refer to the programme specification for the constituent subjects for details on programme structures.
Any changes to programme structures approved via the modifications process should be accompanied by an updated version of the programme specification.
