How to book tickets for graduation


All students receiving an award (graduates or graduands) must book their own ticket (which is free of charge) to be able to attend. Graduands must wait for their invitation email before they book their ticket.

In addition, graduands can purchase a maximum of two guest tickets which are £25 each.

St Mary's University operates a paper-free policy, therefore all tickets will be e-tickets.

The booking website will open at 12pm (GMT) on Friday 26th January 2024 and will close on Sunday 25th February 2024 (11.59pm GMT).

Please ensure you have booked by then, as we will not be able to guarantee tickets after this date.

Your name, student ID, and ceremony date/time must match the information provided to you by the University within your invitation email. If you are not sure of this information please email our Graduation Team.

Please note: we are unable to reopen the booking system after the deadline. 

Should there be extra-tickets available for your ceremony after the booking deadline, we will inform graduands via email only. Please do not enquire on extra tickets availability as we cannot guarantee them, nor we can pre-book or reserve extra tickets. No exception will be made.

Once you have booked, you will receive an email confirming your booking to the email address you have provided when booking.

If you do not receive your confirmation of booking email, it is likely that your booking has not been successful. Please check your bank statement to see if any payment have been processed.

A week before the graduation date, your e-ticket and your guest e-tickets will be sent to the email address you have provided when booking. 

Your guests must carry their own e-tickets on their mobile devices, alternatively, they can provide a printed copy.
