Biography

Antony Laban-Sharman is a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant within the Faculty of Sport, Allied Health & Performance Sciences. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role, specialising in a diverse range of modules including Research, Public Health, Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, and Behaviour Change Science. Antony is recognised for his commitment to teaching excellence and has earned a distinguished track record of supervising student projects at various levels, spanning from foundation to master's programs.

Currently, Antony is passionately pursuing a Ph.D. with a focus on "An exploration into the evidence base, experiences, and practices concerning mental health and wellbeing among BAME populations displaying health inequalities." This research uniquely bridges the realms of Health Psychology and Public Health, showcasing Antony's distinct stance and dedication to addressing critical societal issues.

Additionally, Antony's academic journey reflects his unwavering dedication and he has achieved an MSc with Distinction in Chronic Disease Management from St. Mary's University in 2020 and graduated with First-Class Honors in Health & Exercise Science (BSc) from the same esteemed institution in 2019.
