Biography
Vicky Wiley is a lecturer in Primary Professional Studies, Maths and Modern Foreign Languages (MfL). She teaches across the undergraduate and postgraduate training routes within the Institute of Education at St Mary's.
After graduating in 2009 with a PGCE from the Institute of Education (IoE) at UCL, she went on to complete her MA in Education and International Development, also at IoE, where her research focused on Lesson Study and Quality of Education. She also received her PGCAP (Post Graduate Certificate of Academic Practice) at St Mary's.
Before joining the lecturing team at the university, Vicky worked as a deputy headteacher, assistant head, and head of teaching and learning, with over 16 years’ experience across six primary schools in London.
Earlier in her career, she held a number of positions as subject lead, including English, maths, science, D&T, art, and MfL. Vicky has also been head of teacher training in her role as assistant head, as well as working with teaching hubs and universities to train cohorts of early career teachers (ECTs).
