Biography

Vicky joined St Mary’s University in 2023, after previously working in six primary schools over 14 years. She was part of the St. Mary's Education team, who together achieved an Outstanding in 2024.

Vicky works primarily on the PGCE Primary at St. Mary's Twickenham, but this curriculum is also delivered at Wrexham University, and Carmel Teacher Training Partnership. Close relationships with colleagues at these institutions have been fostered, and we are proud to be delivering our curriculum there. 

Whilst in school, Vicky was Deputy Headteacher, and Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning. Throughout her career in schools, she has led on many subjects including maths, English, science, MfL, art, and DT, and has taught every year group from Year 1 to Year 6.

With a passion for teacher training, Vicky was a mentor of ECTs and student teachers early on in her career. She was head of teacher training in her role as assistant head, as well as working with teaching hubs and universities to train cohorts of Early Careers Teachers (ECTs).

Vicky has a BA (Hons) in Psychology, a PGCE in Primary Education, and an MA in Education and International Development. At St Mary’s, Vicky is Subject Lead for the Primary PGCE course and a lecturer in primary maths.
