International Department

The International Department has two main functions. The first is to recruit and support students from outside the UK as they settle in London. The second is to support international study and work abroad placements for all St Mary's students, particularly through semester and summer placements.

Please contact with queries about:

  • Studying abroad for a semester or a summer as part of your St Mary's degree. You can find out more about current opportunities for outbound mobilities on our webpages and by accessing the Student Work Abroad pages on Moodle.
  • To find out more information on opportunities for international students to study at St Mary's, please visit our webpages.
  • Signposting to other sources of support for international students at St Mary's
  • Scholarships for new international students (please note that students are automatically assessed for these scholarships when they apply to the university)

International Scholarships

The International Department oversees the St Mary's International Scholarships, which are available to applicants beginning their first year of study. Students with oversees fee status are automatically assessed for these scholarships as part of the application process. Further information on this can be found on our webpages.

Outbound Study Abroad

The International Department manages outbound study and work abroad placements for many degrees across the University. All students are eligible to participate in summer programmes, and most undergraduate courses allow students to study abroad for a semester during Year 2 of the degree. Further information can be found on our webpages.
