I chose St Mary's as I did my undergraduate degree here. I knew the staff well and felt Twickenham was now very much home. Additionally, they have fantastic sporting facilities at St Mary's and being a competitive athlete having a track right there on campus is an added bonus training wise.
My favourite module would have to be the psychological skills modules. They not only provide the theoretical knowledge required throughout the course but also go into the techniques and assessments that applied practitioners use, which is really helpful and interesting for me as I hope to one day work as a sport psychologist.
The lecturers have been so supportive in helping with assignments in every module. They always find time to see you no matter what. Through links made by lecturers I now work with a professional football clubs academy players running their sport psychology sessions every Saturday. Being involved in the applied sport psychology Master's at St Mary's has definitely opened doors I would not have experienced anywhere else.
