Student Life: Welcome to your Students’ Union Sessions
The Student Life: Welcome to your Students’ Union’ talks will welcome you as an official member of St Mary’s University Students’ Union. It’s hosted by our Student Life and Education Presidents and it’s where you can find out about the official Simmie bucket list, things to do in the local area and societies and clubs that you can join. Basically, it’s a session on how to make the most out of your time at uni! We can’t wait to meet you!
Please attend one of the sessions on the welcome week timetable.
The Student Essentials session welcomes you to St Mary's and covers some essential information that you need to know. In this session, you will get to see some different faces from around the university. You will learn about the key support services available to you, such as Personal Tutors, counsellors and mental health support, and the chaplaincy, as well as the various support funds in place to aid students struggling with their finances. You will find out about health and safety at St Mary's and our code of conduct. You will also find out practical information like where/how to collect your student ID card and parking on campus.
