Library membership for Students and Staff

All St Mary's University students are automatically members of the University's library service. This provides numerous benefits throughout the course of your studies including:

Access to the library's physical book collection, including a borrowing allowance of up to 18 library items at a time
Unlimited access to the library's large e-resources collection using your University IT account
Access to the study facilities and bookable rooms in the library
Access to IT facilities, including desktop PCs, borrowable laptops and printing/scanning/photocopying

It is located at the front of the library, and can support you during our staffed opening hours. For questions outside these times, or if you are off campus, you can get in touch via The Hub Online. You can also use the ChatBot Service for out of hours support and help if you cannot find your answer on our web pages.

The Library is an integrated study and IT facility for St Mary's students. The building provides a range of individual and group study spaces, open access PCs and a one-stop advice service from professional staff. The Library also houses the University's printed library resources.

The Library is open seven days a week (24 hour for holders of a valid St Mary's ID card)

A fully-staffed service is available until 7pm on weekdays during term-time. Open Access PC facilities are available on a 24 hour basis.

The Naylor Library has now closed and all resources relocated to the library on the main campus at Strawberry Hill.

Our teaching spaces are also fully set up for Teaching and Learning Capture to allow for lectures and workshops to be published online.

Social Zone

The Social Zone, located adjacent to the library is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are a number of PCs and iMacs available for use, as well as an Assistive Technology Suite for those registered with Wellbeing Services.

IT rooms

There are three IT suites in the library, as well as access to loanable laptops.
