The Level 1 Award in Health Awareness (RSPH) is designed for you to build a basic awareness of the principles of health. The course will teach you the impact which your lifestyle choices have upon your health.
The course will also prepare you to take responsibility of your personal health and work actively with health service providers to manage your own care and that of others including your family.
This course is especially appropriate for those actively involved in workplace and community health.

The full cost of this one-day course is £90.

Content
The course reflects the Department of Health’s strategic thinking on health and inclusivity for all. Whilst enrolled upon the course you will study to:
- Understand the meaning of health
- Understand the basic principles of public health
- Understand the lifestyle choices affecting personal health and wellbeing
- Understand how to manage personal health collaboratively with service providers
The course is assessed via
One multiple choice exam paper.
Requirements
There are no entry requirements to enrol on this course. Although it is recommended that you have literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to Level 1.
Award
Upon successful completion of the course students are awarded with the RSPH Level 1 Award in Health Awareness.
Successful candidates may progress on to the Level 2 Award in Understanding Health Improvement.
