St Mary's halls of residence

  • All St Mary's accommodation is strictly non-smoking.
  • All halls have meals in the Refectory included in their accommodation fees.
  • Free internet access is available in the i-learn café and the Library on a 24/7 basis.
  • All St Mary’s accommodation is equipped with snack making facilities in shared kitchens. This includes; kettles, toasters, fridges and microwaves.

De Marillac

De Marillac Hall is situated in a quiet location at the far end of the running track, adjacent to Graham, Wiseman and Doyle Halls.

Resident students will enjoy tastefully furnished, single study bedrooms with en-suite facilities.

The four-storey building boasts 180 bedrooms, together with spacious utility kitchen/common rooms. Lift access is available for disabled students.

Cashin and Cronin

Cashin and Cronin are purpose-built student accommodation based over three floors comprising of en-suite, single study bedrooms with use of the shared utility kitchens which include a microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster. Cashin is a slightly smaller hall however, again comprising of en-suite single study bedrooms and use of shared utility kitchens.

Graham, Wiseman and Doyle

Graham, Wiseman and Doyle are three identical halls situated at the far end of the running track, adjoining De Marillac Hall. Each hall comprises of single study bedrooms over three floors with shared bathroom facilities and utility kitchens which include a microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster. In addition, each of these halls has its own common room.

Clive

Clive are purpose-built student accommodation providing single study bedrooms over two floors, these halls are located near the sports field, to the side of the sports block. Clive Halls include shared bathroom facilities and utility kitchens including a microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster.

Old House

Old House is situated in the main building adjacent to the Main Reception, it comprises of all single study bedrooms over three floors with shared bathroom facilities and utility kitchens. Each floor is a male or female only floor.

Waldegrave Park Houses

Our Waldegrave Park Houses are Victorian homes, situated on a pleasant residential road adjacent to St Mary's. Entry to the grounds is via a side gate near the houses, which is swipe access only. These houses have been converted to provide the most affordable student accommodation.

There are nine separate houses that vary in shape and size, offering accommodation of either single study bedrooms or shared study bedrooms. They all have shared bathroom facilities and utility kitchens including a microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster.

16 Strawberry Hill Road

16 Strawberry Hill Road is a popular accommodation choice with international students and people seeking quieter accommodation, this is the only hall of residence that allows students to remain in occupancy during the Christmas break. Resident students have use of a kitchen as a self-catering facility for periods when the refectory is closed.

A five minute walk from both campus and Strawberry Hill Station, this hall comprises of 18 single study bedrooms arranged over three floors, with shared bathroom facilities on each floor. The size of the hall and range of nationalities of students living there each year mean there is a friendly atmosphere and a good community spirit.

Benedict House

Benedict XVI House is a lay community just across the road from the University on Waldegrave Gardens which was established in September 2010.

Its purpose is to provide a space with the University for a small group consisting of one member of staff and nine students to pursue together a life of prayer, study, community and outreach to the wider St Mary's community.

The house is beautifully appointed, with a kitchen, dining room, living room and garden, as well as a small chapel area. Most study-bedrooms are en-suite and of a very high standard.
