About the festival
The Academic Professional Development team would like to welcome you to the Festival of Learning and Teaching 2024, St Mary’s flagship annual conference to celebrate practice across the university and share innovations in teaching and learning.
The Festival will take place on 19th June in the Waldegrave Suite and is in person only, giving colleagues the opportunity to meet face to face.

The overarching theme for Festival 2024 is “the value of professional reflection”. In coming together as a community of educators, we can develop our practice by sharing ideas, insights and opening up opportunities for collaboration. The subthemes for this year are:
- artificial intelligence in higher education
- equality, diversity and inclusion
- sustainability
- authentic assessment
- open category.
Please note that the sessions will not be recorded and it is not possible to join the festival remotely.
