We have compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions.

Once you have enrolled, you will be able to request a council tax exemption letter by logging in to your e:Vision > My Details > Manage my data > Request a letter.

If you are having problems accessing the student portal please contact The Hub Online.

We do not provide student discount cards. You should be able to apply for this using your student email address or student pass.

Once you have enrolled online, your Outlook account will be activated.

 The timetable will automatically appear in your University Outlook calendar. Please note that individual timetables will only show modules which you have registered for.

Please check that you are registered on the correct number of modules via My Student Record, My Details using the View My Modules tile.

You can change your password using the change password option on the login page.

Fees details/instalments

Please, note that if you are a self-funding student, choosing the “online payment” method will automatically show a three-instalment payment plan; please, complete the online registration.

After the completion, the correct fee is generated overnight and an invoice with the three instalments will be sent to you via email.

Contact details and term address

Please indicate the term time address you plan to stay at. This can be changed at a later date if you move.

You will be able to choose and set up payments for the modules you’ll study this academic year during the module registration section of online enrolment.

 Please choose the “online payment” method which automatically shows a three-instalment payment plan and complete the online registration.

After the completion, the correct fee is generated overnight and an invoice with the three instalments will be sent to you via email.

Please choose “Student Loan Company” - it means that you have applied for a student loan.

Undergraduate and PGCE course loans will be paid directly to the University. With regards to the maintenance loans and loans for postgraduate study, once students have completed the online enrolment process, we will automatically confirm your attendance to SLC. You’ll be paid in accordance with their payment dates, normally in three instalments, which are in line with term start dates.

If the photo is rejected and your status becomes “C”, you should go to your Student Portal, go to the ‘My Details’ page, followed by the ‘Upload Photo’ page.  You should also have received an email with these instructions to your SMU account.

Once students have completed module registration in the enrolment process they cannot make any changes.  Please complete the enrolment process, including fees, based on what you’ve chosen. Once you have completed enrolment please contact registryservices@stmarys.ac.uk who can amend your modules – in the case of part-time students this will also automatically adjust your fees if you change the number of credits you’re studying.
