If you’re a self-funding student, choosing the ‘online payment’ method will automatically show a three-instalment payment plan – please complete the online registration.
The correct fee will then be generated overnight and we’ll email you an invoice with the three instalments.

Please indicate the term time address you plan to stay at. You can change this at a later date if you move.
You’ll be able to choose and set up payments for the modules you’ll study this academic year. You can do this during the module registration section of online enrolment.

Choose ‘Student Loan Company’, which means you’ve applied for a student loan.
Undergraduate and PGCE course loans will be paid directly to the University.
For maintenance loans and loans for postgraduate study, once you’ve completed the online enrolment process, we’ll automatically confirm your attendance to the Student Loan Company (SLC). You’ll be paid in accordance with their payment dates – normally in three instalments in line with your term start dates.
If the photo is rejected and your status becomes ‘C’, you should go to your Student Portal, go to the ‘My Details’ page, followed by the ‘Upload Photo’ page. You should also have received an email with these instructions to your SMU account.
Once you’ve completed module registration in the enrolment you can’t make any changes there. Please continue the enrolment process, including fees, based on what you’ve chosen.
Then when you’ve fully completed enrolment, please contact registryservices@stmarys.ac.uk who can amend your modules for you.
For part-time students, if you change the number of credits you’re studying, this will also automatically adjust your fees.
