The Centre for Workplace and Community Health (CWCH) is a centre of excellence and innovation in the field of community and workplace Health.  With over 8 years experience of running innovative and outcome focussed projects, we have a reputation for delivering projects which engage with the communities they serve to make measurable and sustainable improvements to the health of target populations.

The Centre for Workplace and Community Health (CWCH) was established in the School of Sport, Health and Applied Science at St Mary’s in January 2005. The centre comprises staff with expertise in behaviour change, nutrition, public health, smoking cessation physical activity and alcohol.  We strive to create healthier businesses and healthier working communities, using sustainable, practical and cost effective approaches. We draw upon our academic background to act as a knowledge transfer unit, working with the private and public sector and policy makers.

What do we do?

CWCH is a centre of excellence and innovation - our focus is on the design, delivery and research of workplace and community health solutions and training.  We are able to provide training, consultancy and project delivery, including bespoke solutions and a wide range of Royal Society of Public Health qualifications.

We also offer practice-based learning opportunities for St Mary’s undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as coordinating research projects.  We would welcome the opportunity to share our experiences and learning and to discuss your requirements.
