Different areas of the Waste and Recycling disposal process are undertaken and managed by both the Housekeeping and Grounds Teams.
- Housekeeping undertake internal and some external structural cleaning as well as empty indoor bins, collect and dispose of some bulky waste items such as old furniture.
- The Grounds Team collect and arrange disposal of the contents of outdoor litter and commercial size waste bins, skips of bulky waste, collections of separately collected recyclables, and much of the hazardous waste and security shredding/confidential waste.
The location and types of campus recycling facilities are undergoing review to make waste and recycling facilities clearer to use correctly and more efficient and convenient for staff and students.
Please help to keep the University Campus clean and tidy by using the correct facilities for your waste items and think carefully about waste when purchasing for yourself or on behalf of the University.
