Academic skills support at St Mary's is delivered online and in-person by the Library and the Learning Development Lecturers, and English Language support is provided by English for Academic Purposes Tutors.
Take a look at the Library online guides to see how these can support your learning and check for Library drop-in clinics and other sessions.

The Learning Development Lecturers work with your programme lecturers to set up initiatives to support you:
Your lecturers are able to refer you for a one-to-one appointment with one of the LDLs to develop your academic skills.
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutors carry out similar services to the Learning Development Lecturers, but they also specialise in English language support. This means any student who feels they need additional advice or support on English language issues should get in touch with an EAP Tutor.
Although this may be of particular use to students who speak English as an additional or second language, all undergraduate and postgraduate students can receive EAP support.
All students (and staff) can also book a 50-minute tutorial session with our RLF Writing Fellow to help strengthen their writing ability.
