The Benedict XVI Centre for Religion and Society is pleased to release its third Catholic Research Forum report: The "No Religion" Population of Britain.

no-religion-coverThe report offers, for the first time, a detailed profile the 48.6% of the adult British population who identify as having "no religion" by analysing recent data from two highly respected, nationally representative surveys (British Social Attitudes, European Social Survey).

Prof Stephen Bullivant explores topics including:

  • overall numbers, regional breakdowns and historical trends
  • demographics presents a the first detailed profile of British Nones (age, sex, race, education)
  • upbringing, conversions, and ‘nonversions’
  • the religiosity of Nones.

This research was funded by the Department of Evangelisation and Catechesis of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.
