Biology subject knowledge enhancement course

We offer an range of online Biology subject knowledge enhancement courses.

Distance learning (online) courses

To be eligible to undertake an online course:

  • you must have an offer of a place on a PGCE Teacher Training Programme with the SKE course a condition of that offer
  • you must not have attended any Department for Education (DFE) funded SKE courses previously
  • your teacher training course must match your SKE subject.

The eight-week programme (200 hours) is for candidates who would like to boost or refresh their knowledge of their specialist subject to GCSE level.

The 12-week programme (300 hours) is designed for candidates needing additional support to boost or refresh their subject knowledge to GCSE.

12 weeks program

  • A selection of virtual lessons in science.
