We offer an 8-week online English subject knowledge enhancement course.
Distance learning (online) course
To be eligible to undertake an online course:
- You must have an offer of a place on a PGCE Teacher Training Programme with the SKE course a condition of that offer
- You must not have attended any Department for Education (DFE) funded SKE courses previously
- Your teacher training course must match your SKE subject
The 8-week programme (200 hours) is for candidates who would like to boost or refresh their knowledge of their specialist subject to GCSE level. You can commence the course at any time from September 2019.
The overall programme provides the key knowledge that underpins secondary school English teaching. Throughout the course, mini-assessment points provide clatiry of progress.
