First, you need to log in to our student applicant portal.

Your username is your student ID and your initial password is your date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY.

Select the ‘my application’ tab and then select the button labelled ‘book interview’ and then chose your preferred date and time.

Evidence of qualifications

If you have completed your qualifications we will need to verify these before any offer can be made following a successful interview outcome.

Please log on to your applicant portal and select the ‘My application’ tab.

If we need documents from you then there will be a button which is labelled ‘Documents – action required’ – please select this button.

There will be a list of documents that we need. If the status is ‘accepted’ it means we have already verified the qualification. If the status is ‘required’ it means we need you to upload the relevant document. You can do this by selecting the button labelled ‘upload’.

Please ensure you:

  • rename the document so that it explains what it is; for example, if the document is a copy of your UK passport please ensure the filename is ‘UK passport’
  • only upload one copy of each document.

Please note: If the document you need to upload is made up of multiple pages please send this to the admissions team using WeTransfer instead. Please ensure you quote your student ID. The team will be able to combine your pages into one document which will make it easier for us to review.

The interview will last around 30 minutes.

Use our recurring Zoom link on the day and time you have booked. If you need them, the meeting ID is 813 9410 0396 and the passcode is 820108.

If you have trouble accessing Zoom or you are not able to attend your booked interview slot, please email Matthew Dell at matthew.dell@stmarys.ac.uk.

Please be ready to:

  • explain your motivation for studying at master's level
  • talk about an educational issue relevant to your context that you feel needs change
  • explore an educational interest that you might like to research for your dissertation and an example of evidence that has led you to this interest (this might be national or local education policy, academic literature or current political debate in your country or region).

If you require any adjustments for interview, please email diagnostic or medical evidence of this to wellbeing@stmarys.ac.uk with information about your interview and any required adjustments.

Please see our Student Wellbeing Service for more information about support available at St Mary’s.
