Race is a protected characteristic under the UK Government’s Equality Act 2010. Race includes colour, nationality, ethnic, or national origins. 'Race' is a social construct implemented to categorise people in groups based on their genetic and biological differences.
The Microlearning’s below are focused on how we can become more inclusive at St Mary’s by learning about other groups that we may not identify with. Learning about others' lived experiences and building an awareness can lead to better respect of our colleagues, students, and ourselves.
