Microlearning archives: sexual orientation

Sexual orientation is a protected characteristic under the UK Government’s Equality Act 2010. It is illegal to discriminate against individuals for their sexual orientation. This includes discrimination based on a perception of someone having a particular sexual orientation, or discrimination based on someone who is connected to someone else with a particular sexual orientation.

The Microlearning’s below are focused on how we can become more inclusive at St Mary’s by learning about other groups that we may not identify with. Learning about others' lived experiences and building an awareness can lead to better respect of our colleagues, students, and ourselves.

This page is an evolving document so please do look out for updates of new Microlearnings.
