Registry Services

Registry Services is responsible for a wide range of student administration services and support, as well as Enrolment, Graduation, Student Records, Exams, Conduct, Complaints and Academic Appeals, UKVI Compliance and Policy and Regulations. 

Some of the services we provide are:

Registration

We will send you registration information ahead of the new academic year and ensure all relevant information is available on the website and on SIMMSpace. 

Advice and Guidance

We are here to advise you on issues of academic progress and to ensure you have correctly registered for modules. In addition to the above list, we can also help you with:

  • Changing your address and personal details
  • Course changes
  • Withdrawal from study
  • Leave of absence
  • Module changes
  • Scholarship and bursary queries

Some of the above can also be done on the student portal

How can we help?

We also provide:

  • Letters to confirm student status for external organisations, e.g. banks, HP council offices, student verification, etc - these can also be requested on the student portal.
  • Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) application service
  • Transcripts and Certificates 

Tier 4 students 

The UKVI Compliance and Immigration team provide dedicated specific guidance and support to all students with a visa status. If you have any questions relating to immigration and/or visa compliance (including visa extensions and renewals), please do not hesitate to contact the team. You can arrange an in-person appointment or you can drop in between 1.30-3.30pm on Tuesday's and Thursday's.

Exams

We will help with queries on module registration, assessments and exams throughout the year. We ensure exam timetables and results are made available for you on SIMMSpace. The Exams Office also handles all extenuating circumstances claims.

Extenuating Circumstances

Please contact us for information about submitting a claim for extenuating circumstances and refer to 'Extenuating Circumstances - Student Guidance' on SIMMSpace.

Graduation

Each year Registry organises our graduation ceremonies. Details of the dates and venues are published on the St Mary's website. All students who are expected to complete their programme will receive an invitation to register for the ceremony.
