  • It is essential while using social media you check your settings to ensure the audience who can view your posts and personal information is restricted as you wish.
  • Be mindful of what you share on social media – once it’s out there it can be difficult to retract comments that could be harmful to your reputation
  • Illegal and offensive material and comments can lead to you being reported to the authorities and could be detrimental to your future if you are prosecuted.
  • Remember employers often check social media sites before employing applicants.
