Abbie obtained a first class honours degree in nutrition at St Marys University in 2012. From this she went on to work for the Food Standards Agency in the Cornwall division, as part of the microbiology field team.
Abbie returned to St Marys in 2014 as a nutrition technician and began her MSc in Human Nutrition in 2015. Abbie obtained a Distinction in her MSc and has now taken on the role of Project Manager for the Health and Wellbeing Services within SHAS.
Abbie’s areas of interest are nutrition in older adults with projects focusing on Alzheimer’s disease and nutrition, nutrition education interventions and male older adults eating habits.
