Gill is a Sports Dietitian and Registered Sport & Exercise Nutritionist and has worked with high performance athletes and coaches for over 20 years.  She has been a private consultant to international sportsmen and women in many Olympic and non-Olympic sports including golf, swimming, athletics, tennis, judo, netball and 2 Premier football clubs.

She has worked and travelled internationally with athletes, coaches and other support staff at the British Canoe Union and British Swimming. Challenges currently include working with Professional Jockeys and she has worked with rowers embarking on the Trans Atlantic Rowing Race. Alongside this consultancy work, Gill writes articles for professional sporting publications and lectures in sports nutrition.

Gill was appointed to work with Team GB and attended the holding camp for the 2004 Athens Olympics and continues to have links with the British Olympic Association. She has also worked part time for many years in various community posts in the National Health Service, specialising in Cardiovascular health and weight management.

Gill is a registered dietitian, member of the Health Professions Council and member of the British Dietetics Association (BDA).

Currently Gill is on the Committee of Sports Dietitians UK, a specialist group of the BDA.
