Richard's a professionally qualified member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) (CGMA), Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute. Academic practice includes: A PgCPE (Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Education) and Fellow member at the Higher Education Academy. Previously gained from the Kauffman Foundation (USA) the Award for International Enterprise Educators. An alumni member of Cranfield university following a fellowship in manufacturing management. Holder of and a B A (Hons).

Teaching and learning development for various UG and PG programmes within HE including a range of modules including: professional accounting, banking, business: strategy, performance management, economics, organisational behaviour, management accounting, ethics, governance, corporate social responsibility, and entrepreneurship.

Design of teaching includes blended learning, assessment writing and embedding employability. In addition, worked as part of an academic team to research, plan, and design new UG programmes to incorporate Leadership, Management, and Enterprise. Experience includes creating teaching and learning material mapped to taxonomies, assessment design and presenting to internal and external stakeholders through various validation meetings and strategic review committees.
