Ed Boyle joined St Mary’s University in 1998 as senior lecturer in education for Religious Education. He completed his MA in Education in 1989 at the Institute of Education and his Diploma in Educational Management in Roehampton in 1993.
He has recently started the Doctorate in Education programme run by Nottingham Trent University and is developing his coaching skills as part of St Mary’s Coaching and Mentoring Strategy for staff.

Previously, Ed taught Religious Education in schools in London and Hertfordshire. He served for two years as Chair of the TDA funded London regional steering group on Partnership Developments. He is Chief External Examiner for Reading University’s PGCE.
Ed is currently Secondary Academic Director and leads the Partnership Development group within the School of Education. His close partnership work within the South West London Teachers Education Consortium (SWELTEC) has enabled close ties with all aspects of secondary partnership in South West London.
