Biography

Sara is a lecturer at St Mary’s University and teaches on the foundation and undergraduate Physical Education and Youth Development degree programmes. She has previously worked in secondary education for over ten years, working predominantly in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. During this time, she held positions including Head of Dance and Conflict Resolution Coordinator and supported primary and secondary schools in delivering high-quality dance lessons.

She spent five years working within the Arts Industry at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, designing and managing an education programme for London schools, promoting access to the arts, pathways, and meaningful enrichment opportunities.

Sara has a BA Hons and a PGCE with QTS. She is also a governor of a federation of primary schools in Islington, London.

Sara’s specialism is dance in education, with areas of interest including teaching and learning, creative pedagogies, and social justice in PE and sport.
