Rhiana joined St Mary's University in late 2020 as a lecturer in Sport Performance Analysis and Talent Identification. Rhiana specialises in field hockey analysis and has worked with teams such as Great Britain Hockey and Wales Senior Women. She continues to work alongside Swansea Women 1st National League team and Teddington Hockey Club.
Previously Rhiana studied an MSc in Sports Performance Analysis under a studentship with Great Britain Hockey. Rhiana undertook research in collaboration with GB Hockey identifying routines used in field hockey penalty shootouts in international tournaments and competitions, with the provision of the pressure of match and tournament importance. This research has been highly relevant for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and those to come.
